The Role
I had two six months placements as a part of my placement scheme. Both were very interesting and I have learned a lot.
very good staff relations and received a lot of help and support
even thoug both my line managers were very busy they allways foud time for me
very busy, interesting and challenging.
quite a lot of responsibility, I was given targets to aim for and had some direct contact with customers and contractors
I deffinately learned new skills and will be using them in my next job.
The Company
busy but fun, we always found a few minutes to have a lough while working very hard
it was very well organised with appraisals every 3 months, getting feedback on my work and progress
I underwent a lot of training and was taken along to some important meetings and other events from which I could learn about real life experiences needed for my job.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I have been ofered a place after graduation which I will not be taking due to moving away but I would have done if circumstances were different.
The Culture
there were three of us working for the same company from Plymouth University, I also made a lot of other friends.
I lived at home during my placement so no change of scene.
In Callington itself there is not much night life but Plymouth has pleny and is close enough.
Lots of events including charity work organised by work.
