The Role
The amount of responsibility that I was given was enormous, from day 1 I was infront of customers, responding to customers emails and getting my name out there to all internal TAMs through weekly newsletters that eventually ended up in Customer inbox's.
I was welcomed into the Team and soon built up a relationship with everyone within the team. Now they come to me asking questions and asking for help.
Nearly always had something to be getting on with and during down time was encourage to study for qualifications or accreditations.
Given customers to look after that were quite high profile, sending out weekly emails newsletter to customers and also looking after customers on workshops at Microsoft HQ
I have been given the oppurtunity to study for skills and qualifications that I can now take with me back to University and into other jobs and roles on my CV.
The Company
Everyone was very friendly and more than happy to give up their time for a chat or to answer any questions I had.
Internships are well established within Microsoft and the set up was good.
Always encouraged to go out and train and develop myself. Have earned several qualifications with more in the pipe line before leaving the company.

Although the MACH scheme is very oversubscrbied compared to the number of jobs available. Being an intern really helps with the experience if coming back for a job interview.
The Culture
Great atmosphere and induction week helped everyone to get along and get to know one and other.
The cost of living and socialising was very low for me as I live round the corner so was able to live at home without paying rent so had plenty of money to go out.
Coming from the area I know where all the great places to go are so probably had a better experience than other interns that may not have known the plaes to be.
The team was always doing something outside of the office that I was invited to take part in.
