The Role
I was told before getting the placement it was going to be a tough year but the one thing that helped me through were the people and the family environment. Everyone helps each other and the office is a motivational environment.
Made friends for life. Amazing people at Enterprise across all areas of the business with your best interests at heart.
I personally had a rocky ride management wise with my manager being off work on several occasions. However, my assistant manager and area manager were fantastic supporting me throughout.
Enterprise is the busiest environment I have ever worked in. It was literally non stop but with the advantage that I was thrown into the job and learnt as I went along.
I was 100% responsible for my own decisions and could use my initiative whenever I felt necessary. I was also in charge of my own development which I found extremely beneficial.
Without a doubt I gained reusable and applicable skills: communication, customer service, decision making, HR, marketing, organisation and many more..
The Company
The atmosphere in my office in Bolton was known as the fun office. We never stopped laughing but we were also the hardest working and highest achieving office.
Occasionally there were instances where there was not time to fit in extra development activities due to the busy environment. However, the interns were given quarterly meetings to discuss experiences and aid each other in our development.
I literally can't fault the company on their training and development.
Company Parties/Events
I have been offered the chance to rejoin the company if I wish to do so after I graduate.
The Culture
I was the only placement student at my office. I would meet with other interns for nights outs and lunches. I also had many nights out with the area staff and my office colleagues.
I lived from home which was quite lucky and when we would go out in groups it never seemed overly expensive.
15 minutes from Manchester and fantastic nightlife.. Couldn't complain
There was always something going on amongst the company whether it be planned days out or a 5 a side football team for the lads.
