The Role
The work placement provided me with a range of experiences and opportunities that could not have been gained elsewhere.
All colleagues from senior management to sales support staff were extremely friendly and supportive.
My managers door was always open whenever I needed guidance. I was able to plan my own work load and I was given various projects that helped to develop my skills.
As within any role there were quieter and busier periods but in general I was able to manage my work load.
Within the role I was given responsibility from day one. I had my own areas that I was responsible for and on several occasions when the rest of the team were on annual leave I was the main point of contact within the department.
The skills I have developed through my placement have provided me with a great starting point for developing my skills. When applying for graduate schemes I feel confident that I have acquired skills of value to an employer.
The Company
There were a variety of events throughout the year including Olympic competition, Fancy dress days and Charity fundraisers.
The induction I received was excellent. It was planned and implemented by the current work placement so they had a great understanding of my needs. In terms of HR support there was an initial induction but following that there was limited interaction.
I was able to attend a variety of educational events and there is a programme of courses throughout the year that you can sign up to.

The company do not offer graduate schemes however there are opportunities within other areas of Johnson and Johnson.
The Culture
There is a large group of placement students and we often went on nights out. Within my office there was a small group of us who would often go out together.
Leeds has both expensive and cheaper areas and caters for most things.
Leeds has a varied nightlife, there is always something going on
Many of the students played sports or went to the gym together
