The Role
Was enjoyable and offered a bit more than expected
Was difficult to prove yourself as the same with most business' seen as inexperienced
Couldn't ask for more, if i needed anything they where always there and my manager was very helpful and supportive throughout my year
Dependent and varied throughout the year, ad the start my role was a touch ad hoc but when you integrate and are given responsibility your work load rises
You are given a high level of responsibilty and processes you must complete are those which you would do if you were a graduate within the firm. You are not given mundane tasks to complete, projects are developed by managers as they target areas which can be further developed.
The skills I learnt will aid me moving forward in my career as I have learnt a huge amount from shadowing traders and completing tasks for them. The process is fast paced and you are required to learn quickly.
The Company
The team was friendly and always willing to help.
Tasks and events ran smoothly, there is a slight delay hearing whether you have gained a place on the programme compared to other banks. But once you have your place it is very efficient.
We had a presentation skills day course as well as some training. Interns were encouraged to go to seminars and presentations if they seemed interesting which was a great chance to learn about other areas of the Bank
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Healthcare from home
They have offred me a term time job, and I would have no hesitation in returning to work for them as a grad.
The Culture
Yes, there was. It was a fun environment. everyone goes along pretty well.
Expensive in the business district, cheap most other places.
Masses to offer in terms of nightlife, there's no shortage of socializing to be done.
Some teambuilding activities in which I was kindly included. It was fun!
