The Role
Long hours but I was given some really interesting jobs and always had something to do.
The team I was allocated too spent a lot of time showing me what to do, and teaching me about the business. Some of the jobs they gave me were quite dull but many of then needed quite a lot of resposibility.
The managers spent a lot of time ensuring I got the most out of the Internship. They made time for any questions and queries I had and even let me shadow their work.
Fairly, I always had something to be getting on with, once or twice I worked late as my manager needed some help with data the he required for an early meeting the following morning. It was a good balance, a few times a day I would have walked about to have a chat with the other placements.
Variable, some of the time was dealing with fairly mundane tasks, where towards the end i was part of a team working on a very majot and huge budget project.
Time management will be with me always. It also helped me to develop as a person, and become more confident.
The Company
Very organised and work orientated, but everyone knew how to relax.
Nothing more you could ask for when it comes to organizing.
I went on a few formal training courses but most of what I learnt was essentially "on the job."
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I am going back to work as a graduate.
The Culture
Most of the placement students were from a different place and we all got on well, you make it what you want.
It is basically London, so costs are going to be quite high.
Expensive for students who would like to go on night outs.
Mainly socialising but if you wanted to arrange an event such as sports it was easy to.
