The Role
I completely enjoyed the job and could ask for no more. I learnt a lot about HR in practical terms
I was very much appreciated and valued. My ideas were taken into consideration all the time
I received a lot of help, support and guidance from my Managing Director which helped me to HR in a greater detail
Pretty busy on most days but there are times that we get to relax.
I was trusted by my employer and was given the whole responsibility for handing this HR and Marketing project
I have gained practical knowledge of over two dozen core HR issues which I could not have gained otherwise.
The Company
Very target driven, but still have instances where we workers can socialize.
The placement scheme set up is organised very well. For most functions there is the opportunity to do a number of placements within the different areas
I have never felt like a placement student during my time at Intel. The company has invested a lot in me.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I hope to return in the near future
The Culture
In my department there were two placement students, we got on very well and helped each other out. There were other placement students in the company and we were good friends, often seeing eachother.
The salary wasn't great but the experience I got made up for it. I lived with students so the rent was similiar to what it had been whilst at uni, and we socialised quite often and I could afford it.
It was very entertaining. Really enjoyed every night out.
There were a lot of opportunities for me to get involved with activities outside of work. Other than that there are a lot sports clubs that advertise for members. I got involved in a lot during my placement.
