The Role
Fantastic company with a great working atmosphere and unique culture
The team were very accommodating and friendly, and went out there way to ensure I was fitting in, felt like I'd known them for a lot longer than the few months I was there.
My manager and the other team members were very supportive.
Varied day-to-day, some days were much more busy than others
I was given a decent amount of responsibility in helping out with treasury related activities.
This placement hones in your people skills as you meet and work with quite a few different people across the finance department and other departments in the company.
The Company
Really good fun, the people there make the company what it is
The placement was fairly well organised, they had an idea of the type of things to get you involved in to start with as a foundation to the company (building your understanding etc.)
Not a huge amount of personal/training or development took place
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
Really good prospects
The Culture
I was the only placement student from my degree there, and while there must have been other placement students there in other departments there was no interaction.
Quite a cheap area, very reasonable prices
It was good
There probably were a few clubs to get involved in but I didn't really hear much about it.
