The Role
There were some tough times during this job, some stressful times, but all down to the level of responsibility I was given, and once I improved at my job, it was very enjoyable.
Colleagues treated me like a professional and the positive atmosphere energized me.
Great support and ambiguous guidance by Mentor.
Various tasks for different Managers and Departments build a very good balance.
High responsibility and very professional tasks motivated me to deliver great results. For me, not comparable with other internships.
It gave me amazing insight on the industry I wouldn't have gained at all doing the research on it.
The Company
Very lively and some of the best people I have ever met
Very well organised from start to end. Internship goals/aims given before you start with a plan of what is to be expected over the 10 weeks.
There is a big emphasis on training and development at Cummins, though as I was only there for 10 weeks, options were slightly limited
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Would be delighted to work for Cummins in the future.
The Culture
Regular events were organised aimed at getting students and colleagues to socialize together and we often met up for lunch/after work as well.
Expensive for me - however management were always generous on nights out
Fun and entertaining. No dull moment whenever we go on night outs.
Lots of schemes and initiatives to get involved with, i.e fitness groups etc.
