    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Enterprise is a really enjoyable place to work if you like a fast paced environment with friendly staff that become your work family! The continuous training allows you to always develop your skills leading to fast tracked promotion.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Your work colleagues do become your family due to the fast working environment and nature of the business, you develop good relationships with them which creates a network with them that extends to outside of work.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There is continuous support from both your assistant manager, branch manager and even area manager. Lunch meetings are scheduled throughout the year to assess development and personal progress with the company, plus you are assigned a professional mentor outside of your branch if you feel it is easier to speak with someone else about any issues.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Depending on which branch you are working at depends on how busy it is, however in general it's a very fast paced environment, there is always plenty to do and requires you to manage your time efficiently but the good thing is that you will never be bored.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The amount of responsibility you are given surprised me when I started and it shows how much the company trust that they've picked the right person for the type of job. Enterprise tend to encourage you to do things using your initiative, which I found helped me learn things quicker than being guided constantly.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I acquired through this placement are invaluable and the biggest thing I took away from it was confidence, I know my capabilities and am assured that I can carry out the job. Working in sometimes a stressful environment and having to manage time efficiently has already helped me with my assignments for my final year and I feel completely prepared for working life.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone had a 'work hard play hard' attitude in the office so in order to get through the stresses of a very busy branch our morale had to be high. The atmosphere was always fun and lively which stemmed from the good relationships we all had in and outside of work.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement scheme is very structured from the interview process you are informed of the next steps for training, the initial training lasts a week where the company pay for your stay in a hotel with your training group and consists of a mix of training and social activities. From this point you are placed at a branch, more training is scheduled for later in the year and you are welcomed to your area with a social event to meet your new team. Regular meetings are set up to monitor progress and you are given the opportunity to have work experience at an airport or another branch.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It's in the company's best interest to continually develop your skills for you to make promotion as all employees in the company are striving to do the same and it will help the company grow, therefore training is a major aspect. You are issued with a training guide so you know exactly how you're progressing and the time scale to achieve goals within.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    Above 25 days holiday

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • After my placement I secured a job working with them whilst studying my last year at University, I'm currently working at the local branch near my University and also have the 'Campus Brand Manager' role for my campus which entails recruiting students for the placement or graduate scheme. Once I finish my degree there are opportunities to return from where I left off which means I wouldn't have to repeat any stages.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Enterprise hosts work events within your area so arranges nights out for everyone to get together at a variety of locations. There was also a Winter Ball that invited all employees in the South East.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Enterprise places you near to your home address or where you have decided to live during your placement year so for myself I moved home which allowed my cost of living to be relatively low.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Good night life

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • At first getting used to the hours and work load I found it difficult to get involved with outside activities but as time went on and I made use of my flexi-time with the company you can make time.
