    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I was a summer intern within IBD and I really enjoyed working there. I really couldn't expect anything better than it was. I was mainly working with PowerPoint and Excel on various projects that included industry research, valuation etc.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • A lot! We are interns and we are aware of that, but apart from that I felt valued and as a part of the team. That was very important for me.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Amazing people I had an opportunity to work for. You would expect bankers to be unapproachable, but at least the ones I worked for at BofAML were easy to approach, supportive, cared about us and always made time for the intern.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Working in IBD at BofAML is quite intensive and there is always work to do.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Quite a lot of responsibility considering that I was an intern without experience.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • My skills advanced more than ever in shorter amount of time than ever. Will help me in the job, in the school, in personal life.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Quite opposite from what I expected the atmosphere in IBD, the atmosphere was great even though people worked a lot.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Organized and structured until the last detail.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I commented this earlier. We received 1 week pre-start training and people were offering training during the internship on parts you did not understand very well.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised Canteen

    Company Car

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

    Healthcare from home

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I got an offer that I have accepted. Looking forward coming back and believe that BofAML's momentum is great going forward.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • More than I could attend.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • City of London is as expensive as it sounds. Still 10/10, since I can't blame the bank of being where it should be. Namely, in the middle of the financial capital of the world.

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • London. Is there anything else to say?

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes. Employees were good in gathering together those times that we allowed ourselves to get out from work.

    5/5
