The Role
Not only did I learn a lot from my placement, I felt as though it gave me a real insight into what working in HR would be like. It has given me a great deal of experience that will stay with me forever.
My colleagues would always push me to achieve and gave me duties beyond the normal boundaries of a placement student. I finished the placement and I am still in regular contact with the whole team.
My manager gave me the support, confidence and knowledge to achieve in the recruitment industry. The guidance my manager gave me has set me up for life and I do not believe I would be in an employable position without her.
I never felt like I was bored or left without any work to do but at the same time I was never stressed with the workload that I was given.
A lot of the jobs that I was given were those that would have been done by the employees already working at the company. I felt like I was given a lot of responsibilities in that respect.
The skills I have learned here are priceless. It has taught me so much about the HR industry standards and what requirements you need for a job like this.
The Company
It was a great, open atmosphere.
I had regular emails from the Manager. I thought that they did a good job as I was always kept up to date.
The day in itself was an investment in the students who attended; the guidance I gained is helping me in job applications now.
