About You
Very very informative and comprehensive. Work shadowing also is a really precious occasion to know a bit better some of the teams.
The Graduate team was really helpful and handy with all my requests, before, during and after the insight, it felt like they were really interested in all of us.
Everyone was very keen to answer every question we had and we had the opportunity to meet a lot of people so support and guidance were really good.
The time was very short but it suggested me some topics that then I developed back at university.
The Company
It was really well structured, with a nice printed program and all the interns names, presentations form all the parts of the bank and a good deal of social events.
Atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly to be honest, everyone in the bank seemed pretty enthusiastic to have us around for a bit and the interns got along quite well.
They surely put a great amount of money and time on us, including time spent by quite senior people with us.
It was just an insight so it helped but we didn't have any opportunity to undertake real work.
That was indeed extremely helpful, you can guess the culture from the people you meet and how they behave, not only from what they say. I was positively impressed.
Very useful, made me decide to pursue a career in this sector.
Everything Else
All expenses reimbursed, including living expenses in London.
A lot of opportunities, including drinks, receptions, lunches and at the margin of almost every presentation.
Very nice, they brought us to a very nice bar in Canary Wharf and also the canapes reception at the HQ was really good.
Yes, there were people who explained what interest groups in Barclays were and what they do.
I certainly recommend this insight, it was enjoyable and really informative, worth applying even if you're not sure about a banking career, well mainly if you're not sure, it will help you decide.
