The Role
The experience was one that will help me throughout academia and outside of academia. The placement helped develop existing skills as well as aiding the learning of new skills. Moreover, placements really do help with building networks and building business knowledge.
At Enterprise team work is very important. Every single person I worked with at Enterprise was supportive and everyone wanted to help. My role within the team function was respected.
Management at Enterprise were very supportive and offered additional training should one need it. Praise was always given for a job well done, your hard work and determination.
Every day at Enterprise is different. Some days were quiet and some days were hectic. However there was always something to do and this helped the day zoom by.
During my placement I was privileged to step into the role of Assistant Manager as my branch manager moved on. This responsibility helped develop my management, team working and organisational skills.
As mentioned before, the skill set you acquire from your placement will help you with your studies because you appreciate what is expected of you in the business world. The commercial awareness you will have gained will help with certain modules and help put into practice what you have learnt.
The Company
The office was a place where hard work took place but their was a lot of friendly banter and competition between the staff. The team is what makes the job and everyone at Enterprise was great to be around.
The work placement was extremely well organised. From the initial interview to the assessment centre, the set up was logical and well prepared. I was kept up to date throughout the process. This theme carried on throughout my placement where I would discuss my progress with my mentor and branch manager monthly. We would then set/amend targets which would help me develop.
The work placement was extremely well organised. Every few months we would attend training and development workshops at headoffice. Moreover, branch lunches/dinners and meetings with mentors helped me settle in and bond with my colleagues.

As Enterprise only recruit from within the business, most people will be assistant managers/branch managers within the first two years. The sky is the limit thereafter with endless opportunities at home and abroad.
The Culture
Yes.
I lived at home and travelled in via car, so it was fine.
There were a few bars/pubs. However we were only 20 minutes away from central London via the local train station.
There were charity events such as fun runs, BBQ's, Christmas parties, language classes (E.g. Learn to speak Mandarin).
