The Role
I enjoyed it very much. There was a huge amount of variety on offer throughout the day, which ensured the insight remained interesting and stimulating. The people attending were great, as were the employees.
I still can't believe how friendly and caring and lovely everyone was! I really was treated like family! I was involved in nights out etc right from the word go. My department all went for lunch together nearly every day too which was really nice!
My manager was simply the BEST. She was just absolutley fab - always made time for me, even if that meant staying late because she'd been in meetings all day. Offered as much or as little help as I wanted/needed.
I wouldn't say it was a complete perfect balance - some weeks would be really hectic, with everything needing doing at once, and some weeks qould be quite quiet when I had to beg/borrow work to do (though that was only the minority of times!).
Not too much responsibilty that you felt like you were drowning though as there was always support and guidance if you needed it.
I developed confidence, networking, negotiating and team-working skills.
The Company
It was incredibly well structured. Everything ran on time, exercises were varied and in a good order that kept us engaged. Events were not too long and were very relevant. As mentioned, the work shadowing was the icing on the cake!
From start to finish, the process has been brilliantly organised.
I could have gone on absolutely any course I wanted to! All I had to do was tell my manager if there was something that I wanted to do, and I could usually almost certainly do it!

If you do well in the internship, you are offered a graduate job with the company. There are graduate jobs available for all of the interns if you meet work to the standard expected of the company.
The Culture
Many of the interns lived in the same accomodation which was the perfect opportunity to get to know one another. We went on day trips at the weekend and had regular nights out.
Overall expensive, the long hours worked did not permit any cooking so we had to buy everything from cafes/nearby shops.
There were always nights out at the weekends. There were plenty of pubs and clubs. Cheap drinks were especially easy to find on the Thursday evening of our flexi-weekend.
Nestle had several activities running out with work including sports days and charity events.
