The Role
A corporate organisation that values it's interns and gives responsibility to them.
Interns are very much a community that are integrated with graduates and full time employees who are all willing to provide help and advise.
Mentor programme that is in place for you and your supervisor helps with your personal development.
First half of the programme is more of a training / learning curve, second half is a lot busier. However their is still time for extra curricular activities and university studies if required.
I was given a high level of responsibility with a customer facing role in Microsoft. Working with some of Microsoft largest customers and partners.
Gained invaluable skills that I will benefit me in my university studies and beyond.
The Company
Whilst the office was a great environment to work with all the activities and events that are planned throughout the year, work does need to be completed as expected.
very organised, events and training had been planned even before I commenced work.
Graduates and full time employees invested a lot of their time in my personal development helping me to win an award at the end of the year for personal development, people at Microsoft are always willing to help.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Fast tracked to the graduate programme
The Culture
Interns are in a community and other large organisations in the area are all involved to create a community and social events.
Expensive area but salary is higher than most internships which helps compensate.
Reasonable night out, not overly exciting if you are from a big city and used to much more.
Plenty of clubs and social events if you want to get involved.
