The Role
It is a really challenging scheme but immensely enjoyable and rewarding.
Everybody was so helpful to me but this help was reciprocal. Colleagues actively came to me for my opinion and advice on certain topics
Instructions for all tasks clear, encouraged to ask questions and to bring forward issues. Communication also generally encouraged.
Depending on the nature project some days you may be rushed of your feet but other days you had less to do. There is a strong team spirit, with plenty of banter and socialising.
A lot. But the responsibility allowed me to feel a great sense of achievement when I completed a project.
My degree is quite general - and although there are transferable skills, I feel this is more relevant to my development beyond my degree. The skills I have acquired will be invaluble when I enter the workplace, and gave me a unique insight in to working within a big company.
The Company
On a wider scale, the atmosphere in the office is open, transparent, non-hierarchical and friendly.
They have lots in place to ensure that interns are well supported. From induction to buddies and mentors; they are prepared for interns and have systems in place to deal with any issues.
I was strongly encouraged to consider my development to get the most out of my internship. Along with this we had the benefit of significant attention from members of the firm, from partners to trainees, who were willing to put aside time to answer questions and give advice and insight.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Great 10 weeks and brilliant company, I would like to come back and work full time there.
The Culture
Great social scene amongst colleagues. The interns were all very close and would quite often meet up on the weekends
Expensive unless you know how to manage your allowance.
The nightlife here is quite good but expensive.
Received many invites to social events and group meetings.
