  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I was given the opportunity to see many areas of the business

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

    • I think initally, for the first half of my placement, some colleagues and managers saw me only as a placement student and referred to me as such. However now i feel liek part of the team

    • My line manager gave me so much support and guidance and I never felt deprived of this.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • The department was very busy and occasionally I would work a few extra hours however I enjoyed the pace

    • I was given responsibilty very late on in my placement

    • I learnt various skills specific to my role as well as skills relating to the working environment and working with others

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • In general people were friendly and the office atmosphere was good

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?

    • As there had not been a student placement on Ladieswear before I think they were unsure what tasks to give me initially and as a result was given admin tasks until later on in my placement year

    • There was many extra training course which I attended, my line manager also arranged many other visits to further my understanding of the industry

    • I think George woudl be a good place to work

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Many colleagues live in different directions and often worked late so i do not think the social scene is particularly great

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?

    • Rugby is a small town and although leicester and Birmingham are fairly near a taxi would be quite expensive

    • sports were the only opportunties - netball
