    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • This has been the most interesting and exciting internship I've ever completed. I cannot recommend interning in Corporate Finance at DB highly enough.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt that my colleagues placed a huge amount of trust in me from day one, and gave me complex tasks to handle, alongside lots of responsibility.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My more senior colleagues were usually happy to help out and explain. However, one should bear in mind than more ofter than not, colleagues don't have extensive time to teach interns - a good amount of self initiative is required.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I would say that the amount of work given was challenging to complete within the deadlines assigned.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • During my placement, I have been given full responsibility on major client facing work.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • In my view, an internship in Corporate Finance is a school of life. It teaches you how to deal with responsibility, how to teach yourself foreign concepts, how to work in a team, and how to manage your time effectively prioritising your tasks.

  • Company Parties/Events

    1/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I will be joining full time next year.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social scene was not bad. If only we had more free time...

    2/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The city is pretty expensive.

    1/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The nightlife close to the City is awesome (eg Shoreditch area), but unfortunately we didn't have much time to explore.

    5/5

  • 1/5
