The Role
This has been the most interesting and exciting internship I've ever completed. I cannot recommend interning in Corporate Finance at DB highly enough.
I felt that my colleagues placed a huge amount of trust in me from day one, and gave me complex tasks to handle, alongside lots of responsibility.
My more senior colleagues were usually happy to help out and explain. However, one should bear in mind than more ofter than not, colleagues don't have extensive time to teach interns - a good amount of self initiative is required.
I would say that the amount of work given was challenging to complete within the deadlines assigned.
During my placement, I have been given full responsibility on major client facing work.
In my view, an internship in Corporate Finance is a school of life. It teaches you how to deal with responsibility, how to teach yourself foreign concepts, how to work in a team, and how to manage your time effectively prioritising your tasks.
The Company
Pretty serious
Company Parties/Events
I will be joining full time next year.
The Culture
The social scene was not bad. If only we had more free time...
The city is pretty expensive.
The nightlife close to the City is awesome (eg Shoreditch area), but unfortunately we didn't have much time to explore.
