The Role
I was happy to have been trusted with considerable responsibilities as an intern, and I felt I was undertaking valuable work for the business and adding value. I was constantly challenged and given the opportunity to explore different areas of the Private Bank. My work was varied, interesting and extremely enjoyable.
My colleagues made my internship one of the best experiences of my life - it was wonderful to work with such an enthusiastic, organized, close-knit and professional group of people.
I worked with my mentor on a daily basis, and was constantly interacting with them - any support or advice I needed was easily available, and freely given.
I always had interesting work to complete, which ensured the days went quickly, and I was constantly occupied. I never found myself either bored or over-worked, I was given just the right amount to do in order to optimize my performance.
The experience was relatively short so this necessarily limited the extent to which I was able to take on activities. This said, when I was involved in activities I felt that my opinion mattered.
I genuinely feel that what I learnt and the experience I gained over my year will benefit me no end, especially in the immediate future.
The Company
It was a great atmosphere to work in. I'd say there was an underlying professionalism.
Very organised. My manager knew exactly what to expect and duly helped out when I needed it.
It certainly felt like, as an individual, LBG really wanted to help me achieve my goals and wanted to help me get where I wanted to be.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
It is possible I could have a job after I finish my internship. At the beginning of my internship it was mentioned I could apply and would more than likely get the job.
The Culture
It is a really a great company and the social scene was great, lots of meals out and big bar tabs.
I stayed at home so accommodation was free and all expenses (with very generous limits) were paid when working away.
Haven't really gone on l lot of night outs as I have to commute home. But the atmosphere is great.
There are many opportunities to do other things outside of work, colleagues are always doing things - playing sports, having parties etc which has been a pleasure to get involved in!
