The Role
I really enjoyed the placement experience, I was doing a proper role rather than admin for a manager.
Everyone was helpful and I never felt I was stuck. Friendly people everywhere.
They helped me and provided support when I needed it. Felt free to ask manager any questions.
I was quite sometimes really busy and sometimes not that busy. Think that's just the way it was with my team.
My project has been very independent and thus I have been given a lot of responsibility for my own work.
The skills I have picked up during this placement are second to none and I will definitely use them in my future career.
The Company
Great working atmosphere. People were friendly and approachable in the workplace which helped.
Had a lot of contact with the team responsible and I always knew what was going on and the events that were happening. I got feedback from them regularly.
There is plenty of development training in many areas and a real opportunity to learn as much as you can.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Healthcare from home
They are good if you perform well, it does depend on budgets though.
The Culture
Other placement students were very friendly and outgoing and we found the time to socialise after work which was good.
Quite expensive I have to say. Budget wisely.
Pretty good nightlife as expected. Nice to let the hair down so to speak after a hard day's work.
A fair number of opportunities to network with a lot of people which was good. Other events were organized by the team.
