The Role
Overall, I feel going on Placement was a good experience, which I have learned a lot from.
Employee's in my department made me feel welcome when I first arrived, and we have had many events to integrate staff and students in activities
Overall, Support was good, I had weekly meetings with my manager to discuss how work was going
Sometimes did not have enough to do.
Was given some responsibility, but not often enough
I have learned a lot from this placement, and developed skills, which can hopefully improve my uni degree and my future career
The Company
For most of the time the atmosphere in the office was on the quiet side
Everything was well prepared in advance, and qureies were quickly answered
The company invested in programming and communication training courses on me while on placement
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Not sure
The Culture
Many students from different areas, such as IT and Science. We were able to form a large group, and socialise inside and outside of work. The social scene with other students was definately the best aspect of the placement
The area had a few bars and a nightclub, mostly for nights out we went elsewhere
