The Role
I was made to feel extremely welcome immediately which made the whole experience seem a lot less daunting.
There was always someone around that could help me if I felt uncertain about anything, and I made some friends of which I am still in contact with.
Very clear objectives set, and a very approachable manager.
Always had enough to do, If I didn't have a lot of work, I jsut send around an email and people would find you things to do.
You are given what seems like a lot of responsibility straight away in terms of liasing with partners and putting yourself in very public positions. However once I was settled in I was comfortable with any task that I was asked to do
While completing the internship you must be comfortable with talking to a large audience and be confident in asking whenever you are unsure of something. By the end of the internship I think that my confidence in entering a new place has grown, as well as experiencing management theories in practice. It also made me appreciate the relationships between different branches and head office.
The Company
Everyone was hardworking but also willing to have a laugh and a joke, it was a comfortable, balanced atmosphere.
We were given a timetable of scheduled events at the start of the internship, a mixture of networking, soical and training. You always knew what you should be doing and where you should be.
Firstly we set objectives, then had a mid-term and final review. This was good for our development. Whenever you asked for feedback staff would give it to you, so you could collate this over the internship.

I would love to work for them in the future, and hopefully the very near future! It is a great firm, who has the perfect balance of work and social aspects.
The Culture
Yes, all the interns got involved on the events organised by the firm and then again on events we organised internally in our office.
I was lucky to live with family, but there is always happy hour on after work, so drinks in central london are never as expensive as you may anticipate!
The nightlife in the area near to the company was good; although I experienced it few times I could not fault the area which we stayed and dined in.
Lots, it was what you made of it. A group of us always went for drinks on Fridays, and out of lunches etc. If you wanted to do something, there was always another intern to go out with!
