The Role
Integrated into the team well and quickly. Interesting tasks and great support from others.
Always happy to help, going above and beyond what was necessary.
Support was always there when it was needed, however when it was not I did not feel crowded or patronized, just got on with the job.
Always busy, which I like. Plenty to do with a long to do list, however pressure to do more was never put on, but available if you wanted it.
The responsibility increased as the placement progressed. I started with simple tasks which developed into complex and extended tasks which I managed under supervision.
Highly beneficial! I learnt a lot in terms of both engineering and persona skills that will contribute to my future career as well as my continued education. In addition, ICE development objectives were met and signed off during this placement.
The Company
Atmosphere was friendly but serious. Everyone was very approachable and happy to discuss. I feel I made friends there as well as colleagues. Lunch and after-work events were common and I also attended a weekend away with some colleagues.
The IT side took a while but there was work to do from the beginning.
Took the time to help me with my ICE development objectives. Very supportive in this.
Company Parties/Events
Whilst I do not have a job with them, I am keen to become a part of their team and have already applied to the grad scheme.
The Culture
Yes, both lunches and after-work meals/evening were regular. In addition I attended a annual weekend away.
I lived away so living does not apply. Socializing was average cost.
Nightlife was good, although better one train stop away.
Yes, various activities from sport to CPD activities available.
