The Role
Really sociable environment, felt very comfortable and given enough responsibility to feel like I was doing something worthwhile.
From day one was made to feel welcome and part of the team.
Given alot of support. Training one on one with manager however could have done with a weekly meeting to keep up to date with my goals etc.
On many occasions i was swamped with lots of work and other times i did find myself searching for things to do. however this was rare.
Given as much responsibility as possible.
Never worked in a corporate environment before so put me in good sted for after University. Learnt key skills such as communication, time management and confidence in my own opinion which are all vital for the working world after University.
The Company
Everyone very friendly and day to day routine was quite relaxed but everyone still worked extremely hard.
It was extremely organised. Training was great and kept constant contact with Resourcing team. I appreciated the packs which were compiled to keep our Internship on track, which included a weekly update of our 'Highest points', 'What we could improve on', 'Goals for next week' etc. I found this particularly helpful to keep us on track throughout the weeks.
The company's final aim is to hire the intern as they need fresh creative and rigorous employees in this sector.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
would love a job here, lots of opportunity to move to various locations around the globe.
The Culture
As a student I expected a more student-friendly atmosphere, but as the company tended to go to non-student-friendly places, I felt a bit out-of-place. Still, it was enjoyable.
You can have a good social life on the money they provide you...you won't save very much (unless you cut back) but you can enjoy yourself and break-even...which is the idea really
There are quiet few establishment you can choose to go and have fun.
There were often team nights where we got to try new things.
