Enjoyed the placement as it gave a very good insight into the work of an aerospace engineer from a variety of roles.
The under/postgraduate scheme is well established, as a result, most colleagues are understanding and willing to help.
Can vary significantly depending on your specific managerdepartment. The training department is always on hand though, offering support and guidance.
Also varies significantly on the department and manager you are working under.
Once shown the ropes, quite large responsibilities are offered if you are willing to take them on.
With such a varied assortment of tasks, a lot of experience can be gained. Being given the opportunity to work in different departments is a huge bonus, giving a valuable insight into the many roles available to an aerospace engineer.
