The Role
I enjoyed the internship as it really widened my knowledge of the sector
I felt like I was part of the team
I shadowed a graduate that was in the role I was about to do for one week and once I had learnt all the preliminaries, I got on with the tasks given to me. If I was unsure about anything, I could very easily talk to my manager and fellow colleagues
Always had work to do plus additional group tasks with the wider intern population
I was trusted quite quickly to get on with the tasks at hand and my work was passed on to internal departments
Learnt how to do basic VBA Coding which I'm sure will be useful to many roles
The Company
Happy and humorous environment
My work was structered daily with a few adhoc tasks
The work itself was an invaluable investment
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I would love to work here, I just have to ensure that I attain their requirements so I can have a chance.
The Culture
We had intern nights out and even attended the Rate My Placement summer intern party as a big group.
City of London is expensive! but not actually that much difference in price from the rest of Cental London
Vast range of Bars, restaurants and clubs with varying prices
RBC often have activities to raise money for charity. Although I didn't partake in any of them this summer, opportunities were advertised
