The Role
Placement is incredibly involved, being given real responsibility from the start and encouraged to offer input.
Everyone has been friendly and welcoming, with my thoughts/opinions being heard and considered
Good support system in place of mentor/buddy/manager. All available for support/guidance whenever necessary
Started slow, trying to gain more knowledge of my department to understand more of the projects that were given to me
I had three separate projects to start with on my first placement that were my responsibility although I reported/gained support from my placement manager so never felt left to struggle
Everything can applied to business environment and approach to study
The Company
It is friendly and supportive. It is an open plan office so we are encouraged to approach the people we need to speak to, rather than always sending emails.
Placements were pre-determined before we arrived, having listened to our interests/ thoughts and taking them into consideration. Each placement started with key objectives to achieve by the end.
We had outside training sessions every 3 months and e-learning available for other areas we felt we struggled on.
