The Role
I found the internship very far removed from the way it was described in the job advert, I did not feel that I learnt anything valuable and was disappointed with the tasks I was given to do.
I was valued in the sense that I was used as a means of free labour, and could be called upon to do all the jobs which no one else wanted to do.
My manager was made redundant
Varied daily, but generally busy - even if it was covering reception! However there were times when times when I had nothing to do, and no one to ask to give me any tasks.
Very little, as the majority of the tasks I did were menial
I felt I learnt very little about the industry and was hugely disappointed
The Company
Some people were really nice, but the work I felt I was treated very badly by some, and referred to as "the intern" a lot.
Badly organised
None at all, when most people had a task they wanted me to do, they would rarely come and explain it to me face to face, but merely put it in an email.
8 people were made redundant in my time there
The Culture
it was a sociable office
central london, obviously very expensive
great night life, but again very expensive
I didn't come across any
