    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I was extremely satisfied with my placement at Telefonica. This is a great company and I am grateful to have had the experience to intern for them. I hope to work with them in the future.

    • All of my colleagues were very helpful and thoughtful. They were always available to answer any questions and to assist with anything needed to complete my tasks.

    • The management team created a very supportive environment and helped me to feel comfortable.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • My work varied day to day. At month end we were much more busy in order to meet deadlines. If I did not have a task, I would shadow a colleague and learn from them.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • I was accountable for all tasks given. I ran weekly reports and assisted in any way I could.

    • The skills I have learned during my internship will help me in my future career.

    • The office atmosphere was comfortable. Very open and everyone was will to always help.

    • The overall internship was organised well. Everything was setup for me upon my arrival.

    • I felt as if Telefonica viewed me and treated me as an asset for my time there.

    • I would enjoy working for them in the future.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • There were a few other interns there during my time and I was able to establish friendships with them.

    • The cost of living was relatively cheap.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?

    • There were a few local pubs that I frequented. However, I did not venture too far out.

    • We had social events on the weekends, that really helped me get to know some of my colleagues and the local area.
