The Role
This was a great internship experience.
My colleagues offered me constructive feedback. I felt like I was part of the team from day 1.
Management really helped me learn about equities and feel comfortable making decisions and being a part of the team.
I was busy. I was tasked and had to really use my time management skills to make sure I was able to complete everything.
I was given a lot of responsibility. I was responsible for reports and communicating results with clients.
I developed my customer service skills through communicating with my clients often. I attended several meeting that included upper management. My presentations skills improved with each presentation I had to put together and present. Overall, I feel as if my skills improved significantly.
The Company
I have interned at other investment firms and this firm was much more of a casual environment.
I felt the internship process was well organised. The interns have special training events and progress meetings. Also, had one on one progress reporting through out my internship.
The training I received from my team was excellent. Very detailed and spent a lot of time going over everything with me until I was comfortable.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I would apply for a position in the future.
The Culture
Yes. There were social events organised by the company. I also had after work drinks with the other interns and a few of my other team members.
The internship was in London. Prices and cost of living is higher than average.
There are a lot of pubs and clubs of all kinds in the city. There is a drink special someone every night. There is something for everyone.
Yes. There was a softball team that I was invited to join.
