The Role
Initially I found my job at Hays quite repetitive and dull. However over time it improved a great deal and by the end I found myself with a great deal of responsibility and enjoyed coming to work in the mornings.
On the whole everyone was very welcoming. Placement students are integrated well at Hays.
Because I sat next to my line manager I found that I was supported well and felt able to ask for help at anytime
My placement at Hays was very busy, however I found this was a positive part of the job.
Towards the end I had a great deal of responsibility and felt like I was really contributing to my team.
Not necessarily relevant to my degree, but excellent for developing transferable skills.
The Company
Lots of away days and incentives made it a fun place to work.
Hays are very organised with respect to their placements. However there was some confusion about my leaving date. Though this was sorted out quickly.
Treated like a full time employee in this respect, in that you are undertake the same training as a new recruit.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I was offered a full time position at the end of my placement.
The Culture
There was a really excellent social scene in my office.
London is an expensive place to live and work.
London is brilliant for nightlife. Around my office wasn't so good though.
Numerous social events on offer, including five a side, away days and regular pub quizzes.
