The Role
Lack of managerial support through 7 months of my placement means my enjoyment was pretty low for those months. Once I had a competent manager, my enjoyment vastly increased.
Depends on the colleague, my first manager didn't value me at all, but my second one did. I also worked with Sales and Marketing alot, where I felt very valued.
I had 7 months with little/no support
Busier around report period! And when projects where on
I had involvement in a lot of high profile projects.
It developed my computer and technical skills which has helped immensely in university, and will beyond that.
The Company
Generally quite an involved and relaxed culture, as long as the work is being done well.
We where booked into courses, and had meetings set up with various people around the business.
My second manager assisted my in understanding where I want to go in my future career.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
I'd like to work for GE again in the future. However, GE Money Home Lending has no graduate jobs/schemes which is disappointing.
The Culture
I got on really well with my team and we would often go out for lunch together.
For just outside London, it was very reasonably priced.
Lots of bars and a club
Several 'Health Ahead' initiatives
