The Role
I am enjoying working on a large range of projects with different skill sets required for each.
Everyone is very friendly and eager to help share their knowledge and help you learn.
Gary Oddie is one of the best managers to have!
It is up to you how busy you make yourself. If you don't find some projects to help out on or do yourself then you will probably be bored. But there is plenty going on to help pass the day.
Good responsibilities handed to me with coding for projects for various scientists. If the code didn't work then they would be pissed!
A wide range of skills are required to work at SLB and Cambridge is a great place to try and get hands on experience with most of them.
The Company
Very friendly atmosphere, eat together, drink together and party together. As well as work... of course.
Extremely well, the company has obviously been running internships for some time.
Almost too much health and safety... but at least it is safe! Great freebies too, cycle helmet and some PPE stuff.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Great prospects if all goes well.
The Culture
We go out together when we can. Pub most Fridays.
Cambridge is very expensive, but higher pay packet makes up for higher living costs.
Not great nightlife in Cambridge, only a few clubs. Pubs are great though
Plenty to do around with pretty much anything you can think of.
