The Role
Thoroughly enjoyable and a great learning experience
Both in the work place and socially I felt like a part of the team.
EY have a great 'buddy' and supervisor system in place so you have someone to talk to at every level should you have a problem, want to develop certain skills or need more work.
Fairly busy. There were days in which I would find myself doing more admin based tasks but these were fairly rare.
I was able to interact both directly and indirectly with clients and provided work for colleagues that were necessary parts of the project.
There was a steep learning curve but the experience provided valuable insight and, hopefully, should I get a job in accountancy, these will be invaluable.
The Company
Fairly relaxed atmosphere.
From inductions to social outings to being guided through the offer process everything was always fluid and a line of communication was always open in case of any problems.
Great personal investment in all the interns, from workshops on creativity to managers directing work based on targets you set yourself.
Offered a job, on the condition of gaining a 2.1 in the final year of my degree.
The Culture
Several social events organised throughout the internship.
Living at home kept costs down and being outside the London area helped also.
Sports clubs, fundraisers and organising recruitment events
