The Role
Best work experience I have ever had.
Colleagues always treated me with respect and showed an interest in my life.
There were several things which led to support and guidance. We had a counsellor and a buddy, as well as the whole team in general which provided great support.
Occasional moments where I was free but on the whole it was very hard work!
Far more than I anticipated! I was brought into important client meetings with partners, given specific client work, and overall I felt a valuable member of the firm.
Going into tax, it has helped me a lot with my business taxation module in my final year.
The Company
A relatively quiet office, but it needed to be so to maintain a professional atmosphere. However, there was a real energy about the place!
Everything appeared planned out and the internship ran very smoothly.
I was taught a lot about not only the firm, but tax specific knowledge.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I got a job with them! I am looking forward to starting next September.
The Culture
All the other interns were very friendly and we went out for a lot of social events with one another, some officially organised in the scheme and some set up ourselves.
Obviously London is expensive. However I stayed at home and took the train in which was easier. Cost of food was still significant though.
Access to any part of central london very easily.
There were societies which we were encouraged to participate in. We were only there for 6 weeks though, and client work was obviously the priority!
