About You
The Open Day was incredibly useful for giving me a great insight into the firm, and for establishing whether they were right for me.
RPC emphasise that the Open Day is for us to really get to know them as a firm, and I felt that this really came across. Everyone was very friendly, and I felt very much that they had taken the time to find out who I was.
During the Open Day you were free to ask any questions, and the firm's friendly manner made me relax and enjoy the day.
Learning lots about the firm and about the skills necessary in law generally was very helpful
The Company
The structure of the event was impeccably organised, and again helped you feel relaxed.
The atmosphere was incredibly friendly and warm, far more so than I have seen at many other firms
The Open Day really gave me a feel for the emphasis the firm places on personal training, and the amount of both lawyers and support staff that were involved in the day showed how much the firm had invested in us.
Being able to meet lots of the partners, associates and trainees over lunch and in question and answer sessions really helped you develop an understanding of their day to day lives and to ask any questions
The culture of the firm is really important and this came across, both through the presentations and from talking to everyone at the firm
Being able to ask questions and find out about the real working life of the firm affirmed that law was the right path for me
Everything Else
I was reimbursed hotel and travel expenses
Trainees gave the tour of the offices, and the event ended with a lunch with lots of the employees
Everyone was very friendly and put you at ease, and you were able to chat to lots of different people
My Open Day was the day before the firm's Sports Day, and hearing about this and their other inter-house events really showed how much there is to get involved in
I would hugely recommend it - the Open Day allowed me to ask any questions I had and to get a real insight into the firm's personality
