The Role
I enjoyed every aspect of my placement. Especially the responsibility that I was given.
My role was vital to the S&OP team within the UK logistics supply chain.
My managers and colleagues were able to give me support or advice whenever I needed it.
There were very rarely times when I had nothing to do. This was perfect for me as I enjoy having a busy work load.
There was a huge responsibility within my role, which I was extremely surprised about especially only being on placement.
They have given me great experience for applying for graduate jobs in the future.
The Company
There was a great balance between work and other social aspects.
The placement was extremely organised and seems to be improving year on year.
I was able to partake in various training sessions that improved not only my understanding of my role but also my technical ability.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I am currently pursuing the possibility of getting a job after I finish my degree.
The Culture
Yes there were various nights out organised with the placement students and other departmental nights out. I also played football in a departmental 5-a-side football team.
The placement was in Leeds which is a relatively cheap city.
Leeds is a great city in terms of nightlife, especially for students.
There was a great social side to the organisation and plenty of opportunities to get involved with activities out of work.
