The Role
worked within an excellent team, though the process was repretitive with the same response each time, but with different clients.
often would be placing candidates for the team for a high gp and directly adding to other consultants commission bill, yet there was rarely any mention of this
Only had 3-4 reviews the entire year, management are seen as too busy to spend time on career development for interns.
At one stage due to lack of staff was so busy that didn't have time to finish each task and every day was incredibly stressful. When management were made aware of this, within 2 months a new staff member was recruited and work load was a good balance.
Full responsibility for a Candidate Consultant, almost as much responsibility as a comission billing recruitment consultant.
skills learnt included how to sell oneself in the interview process, managing time and resources effectively and often meeting very tight deadlines. I did often feel that the role was not very challenging intellectually and there would be no need to have an academic background.
The Company
despite a taregt driven culture, there was a 'work hard, play hard' environment, with lots of banter
the most organised part of the placement was the initial recruitment of the interns: after that, there was very little on desk training and had to pick up the role very quickly befoe the monthly taregts set in.
no less than any other member of staff, but been for a total of 4 days training the entire year.

if I wanted to go into sales, you would struggle to get a better organisation. I have kept the offer open if I do decide that recruitment would be a good career. Not one consultant is in recruitment for anything other than the astonishing comissions you can earn
The Culture
excellent amongst the team, though it was other 4 interns that were not too enthusiastic in meeting up.
commuted from Kilton Keynes, costing £425 per month to travel to and from work
good though mainly city bars
other than drinking, none!
