The Role
It was an extremly enjoyable experience, it wasn't what i expected it to be like and very different to anything i learned at University.
I felt extremly valued by my team and was included in every possible way. I never once felt like an intern.
I would have monthly one to ones with my manager to discuss my progress and areas i was finding difficult. However i would also have an informal chat with my manager enabling me to ask for support, information etc if i needed it.
My work load was dependant on project i was carrying out at the time. However there were various differnt tasks to keep me busy in between major pieces of work.
I was given a large amount of responsibility and was in charge of several major projects for my team which had a big impact on several other teams meaning i had to liaise closely with them.
The skills i developed and learnt will be extremly useful i am now able to efficiently multi task, work under pressure, work within a team, interact with others in a formal environment and use several word applications to a much higher level than before i started my placement.
The Company
A very good atmosphere between my team and those that sat around us, also provided a good forum to find out information.
It was very organised right from the first day down to regular communication with the HR regarding the placement
Alot of time training me when i started, also giving me various opportunities to take part in workshops etc to attain new skills and develop existing skills

Very appealing, in particular the graduate scheme the company offers as it comes with lots of benefits and very competitive pay.
The Culture
Very the first month interns were given the chance to live together in the local hall of residence. The company also allow the interns to organise events and at the end of the placement in the summer the company contriute towards a summer ball for the interns.
Reading caters for students because of the unversity so would go out on student nites also the SU bar and events were available to the interns as well. Rent was reasonable from £270+ depending on the area and how many people sharing the house.
There was no night life in Bracknell but in Reading where most people lived there was alot to do in terms of bars, restaurants, clubs, shopping etc.
The intern social commitee set up charity events so yes
