The Role
A great community with lots of other people of the same age also on placement.
A very supportive team atmosphere.
If you needed support there was plenty of people to ask advice from, otherwise you were expected to get the work done independently.
If you were willing to push yourself there was always more work which could be done.
The more dedication you were to your job the more responsibility you were given over your time management and tasks.
You are around highly skilled professionals who know the industry inside out and they normally have time to pass on this knowledge; otherwise there are a few internal courses run by employees on a range of subjects.
The Company
Dedicated to getting the job done with plenty of time to catch up other coffee and discuss the work going on in different areas of the company.
Depending on the team you are part of it would range from: very organised and managed to no structure and no work.
If you wanted to develop yourself there was always an opportunity you could sign up to, but you had to look out for them.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Working from home
By keeping in regular contact with your old mangers, future employment looks promising.
The Culture
Plenty of other people on placement 80+ with a good social network between them.
Average to good.
No nightlife in Winchester, but easy travel to London, Southampton and Portsmouth.
A scheme called giveback allows you to take time out of your normal day and do something for the community.
