The Role
As it was my first professional role I enjoyed learning all the different aspects of business all combined in one year.
You spend a lot of time with your colleagues in this role and therefore over the year they genuinely do become like a family
Guidance and support was brilliant. At the beginning there's a lot to learn but being surrounded by people who know the role inside out means you always get an answer when you're stuck and as a result you learn from it
The lower rating for this category isn't in anyway meant to reflect in a negative way, it is as a business just a very fast paced environment. Rather than doing a little bit of everything throughout the day, sometimes you have to wait for a quiet spell to complete other aspects of your work but at the same time this means you can get the majority of it done at once
Once you get to a certain understanding of how a branch is run you are given the opportunity to fully run the show with regards to people and fleet management. You essentially are the boss for that time
The skills I developed at Enterprise are invaluable. The whole aim of the training folder is to teach you how to effectively run your own branch, therefore your own business. As this is what I have done since finishing my placement I've come to see how those skills are transferable and are definitely skills for life
The Company
The days can get very stressful and you are in close proximity with all of your colleagues for part of the day therefore one bad mood can create a bad atmosphere however this was if it was extremely busy, the general atmosphere is very fun and positive and this is then implemented by sales games or just the fact that your essentially working with people who have become your friends over the time you work together
Very well set up. I had a training folder which I had to complete by the end of my internship and followed the tasks in this to help me get the maximum from my placement
I couldn't have possibly had more training and development investment in me. Though I was an intern I had the same tasks and training folder as an employee on the graduate scheme, even down to the interviewing process. As a result of this, I've developed my managerial skill set and am far more equipped for the working world

Personally I've always wanted to run my own business which is something I can now pursue, however if I was embarking on a graduate scheme I know that there would be a job there for me.
The Culture
Though we only went out a few times, they were brilliant nights out
My placement was in the area that I have always lived in so to me it was just normal but I live in Swansea which as a city is not extortionate
Swansea is a student city so as you can imagine there is plenty of nightlife to suit all sorts of people, especially with Wind Street which is a street full of pubs and clubs
There are many clubs/activities etc but the workday ends when everything is done so it can sometimes be difficult to attend these
