The Role
Everyday was different, a brilliant experience which I will never forget
I felt like part of a team within a week, everyone was more than happy to help if I had a problem.
My manager was fantastic. He continuously organised for me to attend tours, meetings and trips so I would get the most out of the experience.
Some days were quieter than other but overall the work I was given was very manageable.
I had my own project to develop and implement manufacturing improves which I took full responsibility. I had to present my work multiple times to managers in order to push my improvements forward.
Over the course of 3 months I developed my confidence, communication, presenting, time-management and prioritising skills. I will never forget what I have learnt.
The Company
Very friendly atmosphere, it felt like a family
This was the first time this placement was done in the manufactruing engineering department but overall I couldn't ask for much more
A lot of thought and effort was taken into developing my abilities, it was a privilege.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I will definitely be applying for the graduate programme
The Culture
Started off strongly but not much was organised after the first 4 weeks.
Preston isn't for everyone... it is cheap though
Lots of high quality pubs and restaurants. I can't comment about the night clubs
None that I was aware of.
