  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was superb. Interesting, enjoyable and a steep learning curve.

  • Very much so. The vast majority of people were very friendly.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was always there to answer any questions, as was my line manager. 10/10.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There were a couple of quiet periods, but they didn't last long. There is always scope to seek out extra work and add new skills to your CV.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The managers give the interns a lot of responsibility. I enjoyed the opportunity of working on some quite high level things.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Massively - a great experience. Highly recommended.

  • Positive.

  • No complaints. Internship was smoothly run in my experience.

  • There were training opportunities and an emphasis on personal development.

  • Very appealing - challenging roles and good salaries. Despite the impact of savage cuts to the public sector.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was a good level of camaraderie between the interns. We regularly had lunch together and even socialised outside of working hours.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I am Shropshire born and bred and continued to live at home during my internship.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Depends on what you're looking for. If you like quiet, character-filled pubs you will be impressed.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes, the previous cohort of Graduates extended plenty of invites and were welcoming.
