The Role
It was a most insightful and rewarding internship where my work not only had a real impact on co-workers, but also on clients.
All of my co-workers in the team were incredibly helpful and passionate. Their helpfulness has prepared me incredibly well for my MSc Real Estate programme this year. Each member treated me with respect and took time out of their schedules to help explain things to me.
My co-workers were incredibly helpful during the entire duration of my internship. I did not feel like an intern, I felt like a co-worker whose actions had an impact on the success of the team. The support given by the partners was invaluable, and made me realise how privileged I was to work in such a successful team and firm.
West End Agency is an exciting and vibrant part of the industry to be involved in. Despite being an intern, I was entrusted with work comparable to a graduate. I had the privilege of conducting viewings by myself towards the latter half of my internship, and had a wide range of work during my time at Knight Frank. There was truly never a dull moment. My real working hours were 8:00 - 18:00, mostly because I loved working there.
Despite being an intern, my work ranged from conducting viewings, compiling availability schedules on behalf of clients, compile research and create research documents. I was entrusted with various tasks by my co-workers and felt like I was an employee of the firm.
My team prepared me incredibly well for my MSc Real Estate course this year. Not only have I started with an understanding of the subject material, but I made sure to keep up to date with the latest Knight Frank Commercial Research Reports which have given me the needed commercial awareness going into the course. I would highly advise applying to the Knight Frank Summer Internship Scheme.
The Company
It was very exciting. There was never a day I was doing the same thing, I always had something new I was working on. From a learning perspective this proved invaluable going into the MSc this year.
It was very well organised. We were given an assignment to complete after our 1 month internship. The team I had the privilege of working with always gave me plenty of real work and I never had a dull day.
The company made sure to get us interns involved in a number of events. We jointly had an evening on 'how to network effectively' with interns of a law firm, and also were given a presentation on 'how to present effectively'. It was most useful.

Having successfully completed the internship at Knight Frank I look forward to applying to the Knight Frank Graduate Scheme.
The Culture
Us interns were able to get involved in a range of activities, and my co-workers made me feel like I was part of the team.
The West End is by far one of the most sociable areas in the world. Though, this has its price. Despite being a costly area, my team was always keen to get us interns involved with team lunches and team social events. I am very grateful for this. There are a range of restaurants nearby with different price tags, but the cafeteria in the office was by far the best option. Not only was the food phenomenal, but the prices seemed heavily subsidised for Knight Frank employees.
The nightlife is outstanding in the West End. No matter what you are interested in, there is most definitely something you will enjoy. Our team went to a venue where one could play ping pong and enjoy the scene of nightlife at the same time. It was such an interesting experience.
There were a range of opportunities available within Knight Frank. I personally got involved with a weekly Softball competition where our team competed against other real estate service companies in Hyde Park. It was highly entertaining and was a great event to meet new people.
