The Role
Very enjoyable. Great community feeling with the other interns. Challenging and engaging work.
We formed a very close-knit group over the 3 months.
You are left to implement the project in your own way, however support and resources are available on demand.
There was always something to be getting on with. It gets very busy towards the last few weeks.
As a team, you have complete ownership of the project. How you design / implement a solution is up to you.
The skills I have taken from this are numerous and invaluable - communication, project management, presenting, working under presser to name but a few.
The Company
Very good atmosphere in an open plan office. However breakout rooms were always available if you needed some peace or quite and for meetings.
The internship was structured yet flexible.
There were various opportunities to attend workshops and seminars.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Was offered a job after the internship in my preferred role.
The Culture
We would go out most weekends, sometimes with other employees from the company (not just from the internship).
The surrounding area is quite affluent, and therefore quite an expensive cost of living.
No clubs in the near vicinity, however lots of nice pubs and restaurants.
Lots of sporting activities going on.
