The Role
Enjoyable, challenging, friendly
Made to feel welcome by the whole team from day one. Involved in out of work activities, encouraged to join sports teams
Everyone in the team are more than happier to offer help and advice if I have any difficulties
Workload is just about right to ensure I'm not overworked or bored.
Although my manager acts as a safety net, I am fairly autonomous.
Given that I would like to work with statistics in the future, the skills I have learnt here will set me in good stead.
The Company
While the office is quiet, it is also very friendly.
All areas of the department work well together.
The company and my managers spent a lot of time, particularly at the start of my placement, ensuring I had the required skills to ensure I could do my job and do it very well
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Above 25 days holiday
While I wouldn't turn do the offer of a job at ADC, I am not convinced that this is the area I want to work in
The Culture
The social aspect of my time at ADC was brilliant - because everyone is friendly there is usually someone willing to do something. There are also lot of sports going on and "team building" nights out.
Things are a little more expensive to what I'm used to at home, but not massively so.
Because Witney is so small, the nightlife during the week isn't great. It picks up at the weekends though - Saturdays are great. Oxford is disappointing - it takes too long to get there and there isn't much going on
I am involved with football on Monday nights and netball on Wednesdays through work. I also play cricket for the company team twice a week and got involved with softball through a collegue
