  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Thoroughly enjoyed the placement and provided a good place to exercise the skills i had learned and to develop new skills.

    • Part of the team, highly valued and integrated into team based activities.

    • Support was provided always when asked for and demonstrations of techniques and certain processes was always shown.

    • Perfect balance of work, it was always available but the time to finish it to a high standard without pressure was good.

    • Continued responsibility as time progressed, a good balance of challenges with standard work.

    • A perfect atmosphere, easy to integrate into office.

    • The application process was a bit long but the other aspects of the placements was fine.

    • A good range of professional development opportunities to develop my skills, including CPD's and lunch and learns.

    • I would be very interested in gaining a year in industry with ARUP.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • A good interaction between the fellow placement students, seen as a group effort to complete tasks when required.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • As i lived in my accommodation i used for uni it wasnt too bad.

    • The nightlife in Bristol is varied and accommodated my views well.

    • There were numerous opportunities to get involved with activities outside of work including pub of the month etc.
