About You
It was very enjoyable, the people were friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.
EY made sure to make each of us feel valued by the firm, focusing on our strengths and encouraging us to apply for the firm with fast-track opportunities.
The entire academy was about providing us with in-depth feedback on our leadership styles. I was not disappointed. We were reviewed both by members of staff and by our peers.
Since the academy I have noticed a change for the better in not only my leadership skills but also how I interact with others on a daily basis. This is definitely the most valuable thing I took from it.
The Company
Each day contained different activities or tests.
While it certainly wasn't all fun and games and we were expected to work hard, it was extremely rewarding and we all chose to do it. I was certainly never bored.
Again, my personal development was the focus of the academy and so I gained an awful lot.
The academy focused on personal development and so EY was not often talked about. The staff were very informative and pleased to answer any questions you had but this was not the reason for the course.
The fact that they were running an event purely for my development with no obligations to apply to the firm showed my what kind of culture they invested. The opportunity to get to know the members of staff well allowed further insight.
Before I would not have applied to do anything with EY. However, having learnt more about them and what they do, I have accepted a place on their summer internship scheme.
Everything Else
Expenses were reimbursed and I everything, and more, was provided on the academy.
Staff were directly involved and very pleased to help or answer questions.
Superb. We could talk to staff members at any time and there were social events in the evening.
Had I asked, I am sure that I would have been given a more than adequate answer.
It was one of the most worthwhile things I have ever done.
