The Role
I enjoyed work. Everyone was very nice and I looked forward to coming in.
We are regularly giving work and trusted with tasks. I think colleagues feel we are a good resource.
The mentor scheme is very helpful and I meet with my mentor regularly.
I always had something to do but I was never over worked or pressured to stay late.
The tasks I was given were big jobs, not specific to interns. The work I was doing was valued and needed as much as any other employee.
I have an understanding of engineering now that you can't grasp from books. The technical discussions and day to day tasks are invaluable.
The Company
Quiet but everyone was friendly. It's quite relaxed.
Initial problems at the beginning as its a failr ynew position but it is now very organised.
We have recieved training on technical programmes that we will be using. They have spent alot of money on us.
Subsidised/Company Gym
I will be applying for the graduate scheme.
The Culture
All interns go out regularly every weekend. We all have lunch together and sometimes there are planned meals at the weekend.
Southampton is expensive but the increased pay form work helps cover that.
Great student town consideirng it has 2 univeristies.
I row all the time. It takes up most of my spare time outside of work.
